A Flight of Frogs

Deep in a jungle somewhere never touched by humanity live frogs able to soar among countless varieties of birds and whose lilypad is the sky They come in just as many hues and patterns as their neighbors with slimy skins that gleam in a way that feathers cannot achieve In one great leap they can fill the heavens by the dozen then flap away on bat-like wings to leave you in awe of nature in all its fantastical forms

The Castle of Countless Compositions

You wander along a narrow forest path. Bone-thin twigs and withered vegetation crunch out somber melodies underfoot, while owls offer soulful serenades to murky skies that threaten rain at any moment. Willow trees bent by time reach down with brittle branches at every breath of wind, seeming to whisper promises to shelter you if conditions worsen, as they have been unable to do for any traveler in many years. It has been more than an hour since you left the closest town, Haven, where older residents tell of an abandoned castle deep in Curlicue Woods found by following a ghost cat said to appear right as the sun dips beyond the distant mountain ranges. The history of the castle and its residents is unknown, and its possible existence only came to light in recent years, thanks to a brief footnote found within an old book archived in the Haven Library. Since then, no one has dared to follow the cat—except for you. Your guide is a translucent creature formed as if from the same fog

I witness arrivals arriving, as departures take their leave, here too brief to celebrate, gone too soon to grieve, traveling to ancient Egypt, of scorching golden sand, so that 'thorns come with roses', is a quote I understand, journeying to tropical jungles, where wild greens thrive, Inspiring to live this life, Truly acting alive, voyaging to arctic icebergs, that only show their shore, much alike a body, with a soul of so much more, jet leg is slightly skeptical, of a clocks display of time, is it AM or is it PM, when it points to number nine? nevertheless- of all these places, some far and some near, somehow I don't want anywhere, more than I want here.
